Default Online Presence of Professional Poker Players?

Evening All,

Whats everyones thoughts on how many poker pro's play regularly online?

I'm thinking about the real heavy hitters here - Ivey, Nguyen, etc - Do you think they play online more regular or stick to the live games?

I think they play live mainly, since it's hard to find a lot of other players at their levels online.

I think that most of the pros play live because theres more money there, but if you want to have any shot to play with them for a reasonable limit, fulltilt is the place. Theres usually one or two pros playing at a 1/2 or 2/4 limit about every other day. And of course there is always some pro playing at the upper limits. Also they are really easy to spot because there table is in red.

And Chris Ferguson multitables playmoney early in the morning because he plays the freerolls. He actually placed in the Razz one recently.

They play a ton of $25/50 and so on, but I think Seidel and Ivey mix it up the most and play $1/2 and $2/4 like Acorn said. John D'Agostino is on almost every time that I'm on, plus he's usually winning. My favorite guy to watch whose name isn't in red is Pokerbok, he took a couple bucks from me in $5/10 NL and is a very consistent player. DianaAA is also good.

Well at ultimate bet.com you can play or see phil helmuth play, at doyles room/golden palace you will see doyle and others play. And at celebrity poker you run into some pros. Oh and also david negranu has a site i forget what its called tho. they are usually just on to promote the site though, not for their own enjoyment, i dont think.

Yeah, tourneys like the one at Doyle's Room are simply set up for us. Those are the tourney's where Doyle, and 2 other pros but bounties on their heads and play in these special tournies. I don't think they play much online except at Full Tilt and Ultimate Bet.

PS - johnsabo4, I think you meant DANIEL Negreanu

As john said UB you see pros play i recently watched Phill Hellmuth win a MTT 40 dollar buy in. His rambling was quite amusing.

I would think most pros would stick to what was working for them which is live play i also think they may think that playing online would be more of a challenge for them seeing as how they cant pick up tells.
