Lots of opportunities for you to either bluff or for him to get a good read on your draw. What would you have done had he raised, say, a dollar on the river?

Well seeing as this is limit, the most he could've bet was .50 cents on the river. And if he did bet that, I would have folded b/c I had nothing. He raised it pre-flop indicating strength (obviously, we now know he was bluffing). Did I think he was bluffing/??? No, I didn't, but I flopped an open-ended straight draw, so I decided to check-call to see more cards. And when none came for me, I wouldnt have definately folded to a river bet. I just lucked out that he was bluffing.

I should have never been involved with this hand. I should've folded to his raise pre-flop. Donkish move IMO.

I can see you calling the small bets with a 2 way str8 draw, but as you say what is he doing with that hand. I can see him making a bet to bluff you the first time, but then he should just let it go. I for one though will not even bluff at pots that I have no back door outs or anything at all. His only out was basically a 10 and that would have been 2nd pair on board. HORRIBLE
