Default BJ and Other Games

Eventhough this Post is not about Poker, it affected my Bankroll.

I lost a couple of hundred to the online Blackjack (at Party) that is more and more showing up on the Poker sites. I definitely know what it is like to go on BJ Tilt. It wiped out my Poker earnings last month. Now I'm on slow rebuild.

The good thing is that I withdrew cash throughout the year to ensure that I banked some winnings. Anyone else have this Achilles Heel?

I just do not like BJ, too much emphasis on luck, even more so than poker. Sure there are techniques like card counting and such, but all and all, poker is much more skillful. You actually play against other players and not a dealer.
Never move all-in with Q-6.

I also agree that these are horrible things being put into poker rooms affecting many bankrolls. They are more games of luck than anything, sure there are ways to be affective playing blackjack but it still comes down to more luck than skill. I don't always seem to trust the software. If I were to place a game of chance such as blackjack I would want to do it with a real live dealer. Also I would like to add that CD Poker, Noble, and Titan even have more casino games than just BJ. These can really fluxuate the bankroll and should be stayed away from.

For how much we all bash Blackjack, it is a good game. Sure it's all about luck, but it's a nice break from poker. If I have a really nice session I like to go play with some of it in Blackjack. I don't ever go on "Blackjack Tilt," so I guess I'm looking at it in a different light.

all online side games are rigged for house to win .. i don't like playing against machines, and i don't like playing against house!

i lost some bucks on roulette, bj, and deuces wild on titan.. (deuces wild is really fun game, but it is more funny how it affects to bankroll) .. i don't understand that "craps" game and caribbean poker, but i won 2-3 hands there and got out.. but deuces man.. if it is for free i would playing it all night

I respectfully disagree that it's all about luck. Sure, luck plays a factor, but there are specific strategies to play depending on the cards that you are dealt. The key to remember is that you are playing against the dealer, not trying to get 21. Depending on the point total of the cards you have and the card the dealer is showing, a good stand can force the dealer to go bust, because he has to keep drawing until he reaches 17 or more.

For example:

You are dealt = 12
Dealer shows

In this case, you want to stand on 12, because the dealer is showing a low card and will need to keep drawing until he reaches 17 or higher, and has a good chance of going bust.

A typical dealer draw might fall as follows:
= 6 + 7 + 2 + 10 = 25 and the dealer goes bust.

New blackjack players would try to hit on 12, thinking they had to get above 17 themselves, with no regard for the card the dealer is showing. The better strategy is to force the dealer to draw when he has a low card in hopes he will hit an inopportune face card. When the dealer goes bust, it doesn't matter what your cards add up to.
