Default 2 great hands, mine was'nt good enough

5 dollar entry fee at Party Poker - Omaha Hi tourney

I'm on the final table (unbelievably I'm not a bad omaha player)

The cards are dealt, the bets are made and I'm all in with the chip lead on the line (I'm all in against the tournament chip leader)

We show our cards and nooooooooooooooooo

I have a full boat - AAA 44

He has a full boat - AAA JJ

I finish in 7th place and win just over 70 bucks

He wins the tourney and takes home around 500 bucks

My baddest beat so far, sick as a parrot

That's a tough break Flyer. I myself have never played Omaha, but I do know that losing with a full boat in ANY kind of poker is a heartbreak.

You just have to shake it off and keep plugging away - stuff like that happens. You can take solace in the fact that you still profited $65

That's unlucky, Omahma Hi/lo is a quality game, you should try it UofTNick, it's very addictive.

I haven't played a lot of it, but I've played enough to know that it's a dynamic game, and if you try to play it with a Hold 'Em mindset, you will lose your shirt. And your undershirt. And maybe more.

It was in an omaha HI tourney and losing with boats in omaha happens fairly often... Was the board AA4J5 ? You didn't really explain the hand all that well.

I can't for the life of me figure out how this is a bad beat. He obviously started with a better hand then you and unless he rivered the J it wasn't even a beat. Please explain better so we can understand how it came out. I certainly share your pain as you could have won a lot more money.
