Ok so recently i saw on the Cardplayer website that they ran Battleship poker events which i think was at the same place as the recent Pokerstars carribean adventure taking place...
basically the structure was a heads-up tournament.
with poker being played on laptops (obviously over Pokerstars network i guess). and the opponents were sitting next to each other...
i thought this was my unique idea which i was gonna use as a great business idea that's gonna make me loads of money... (seeing as i'm short in cash!)
but i guess it's already been thought of...
it's a great idea seeing as u mix the advantages of computer play (fast pot calculation, fast shuffling, u can see the chipstack quicker etc.) and advantages of live play (spotting tells. etc)
although the tell factor may be lower than actual live games seeing as you can't see how the player ishandling his chips (eg shuffling, betting etc)
anyways. sounded like a cool thing and i'm hoping it will be used more often.
although i have no idea how they are gonna stop other people from seeing their wholecards and silently mouthing to the opponent
