Default Live Tourney

So I was in Vegas playin' in a tournament $20 buy in with rebuys I was at the orlean's .. so i get seated and were off. I am past the first break with no rebuys rebuy break is over. blinds are 50/100 by this time I get dealt
raise to $400 get called flop comes I come out and bet $500 get re-raised he goes all in for another $500 so this is all my chips
glad to see him turn over pocket 8's turn comes a and yep the river doh!!!! so I am out finishin' the tournament in 22nd place out of 250 players no pay day for me

Yeah those pictures are easy on the eyes, I like them too. At least you can't say the internet is rigged huh? lol

Truly a bad beat though. Sounds like you could enter a similiar tournament and do fairly well if they're held quite often, though.

If I were in his shoes, I would have folded (no set, no bet). There were so many other big pairs (9-9 and up) that he would be behind to, let alone your set. That leaves him at a 11-1 underdog, which he gets extremely lucky on. Ya did right, but got very unlucky.

Usually top 10% are in the cash (ie. 25th place out of 250).
Where was the bubble?
What was his stack size ?
(Looks like you started the hand with 1400 with blinds of 50/100).
