Doyle is by far the greatest. Not only his skills but his age makes it almost impossible for any one else to match his success. By the way what about the women? About time we get a breakthru star to shine.

Well Stu Unger if he had lived would have been the best player right now.

But if you talk about living poker players then I would say Brunson or Chan. They seem to have mastered all the poker games.

Even though Phil Hellmuth has only won in Hold em thats no reason to rule him out as being one of the best.

Well people like Jen Harman, Annie Duke, Clonie Gowen and Cyndy Violette are definatly poker women to be recognised. Theres some good upcoming talent like Jennifer Tilly and Isabelle Mercier ( winner of WPT ladies night )

Theres plenty of women coming up in the poker world who are on their way to becoming a poker legend.

ajsman

He is not yet a poker legend in live poker but he is where i come from.

First he started with sports betting.
Then Online poker from scratch.
Now he is at the biggest tables.

No job. Just bets and poker.

That makes a pro

Default Stu Ungar

Oh come on guys, you got to give it up to Stu. The man was amazing at the card table- in life, not so much. If none of yall have ever seen the movie Highroller, i would suggest you do so. It's the life story of Stu Ungar( not so much poker action as a film like Rounders) but still an amazing film.

First of all I'd like to comment the thread creator since texas dolly wasn't first to win the world series, Johnny Moss was, and after him Amarillo Slim, then Sailor Roberts and then Doyle, twice in a row.

My favourite player has to be Phil Ivey. He's a genious, unpredictable and has a great feeling for the game.

He can play any two cards like aces, I like that.
I just have to link this clip from Montecarlo millions: YouTube - Monte Carlo Millions
