Default Sunday Tourny

I just wanted to say gg to all who participated in yesterday's tourny.. i wished i could've did a little better but i got knocked out 19-20 can't was my mistake tho...i had a-q on big blind...and was raised..and i called...flop came q-10-7 i so i had top pair...player bets 200..and this is where i messed up..i tried to slow play so instead of raising..i called...turn came a 9..and player bets again..this time i reraise thinkin i had the best hand he went over me and went all in..i called...he had k-j which gave him a i was beat...river didn't matter...but yeah how would u guys have played it...? A-Q when flop comes q-10-7 and player bets...?

raise the flop duder. Not just min. raise. you would have to raise it alot. he had an OESD, i cant make an accurate bet since i dont know what the blinds were, or how big your stacks were, but i'll assume to make it incorrect for him to call, you'd have to make a pot sized bet.

Actually you played the hand fine Westsou. You could have raised him there, but at the time you know you were a big favorite and were right. I can't be positive here, but something tells me he would have called you if you went all in anyways seeing as tons of players now and days go all in on draws. Much less when he had 12 outs (2 str8 cards and K). You playing the hand like that which is how I would have was just got bad luck against you. Thats poker though...the best players in the world would have lost a lot of money on that hand. I know I probably would have layed it down on his all in the way he bet and all, but maybe not. Depending on chip stacks it's possible that I would have gone broke too. Bette luck next time.
