Any suggestions on how to avoid bad-beats?.........There is only one thing that I can think of, that will help you avoid bad beats: Don't Play!

Bad beats are going to happen - you need to be able to deal with them. If you can't, then you should find a new hobby

Is that a serious question? Please tell me your just joking. If you know anything about poker, bad beats happen to everyone. It's part of the game. Like UofTNick said, to avoid them don't play.

I am kind of new to poker only have been playing for a few months, but shouldnt you be playing in very low limit games so if you do get a bad beat it doesnt matter as much? If you are playing good hands you should not get bad beats very often and in the end the odds should be in your favor if you are playing the favored hands.

try to forget all your bad beats. they will pass and you will eventually go on a lucky streak =) just try to cash out before it ends!
