Pokerstars is rigged
Pokerstars can change the outcome of any game. They can factor a winning and lossing % to each name that signs on. If you have complained in the past you will very rarely win. If you do win a hand by chance, you will probably wind up splitting the pot. I have sat at 38 different 10/20 NL tables the other night and each table I sat down I alway got a 3 or 4 drop on my closed card. The odds are highly impossible to drop 27 3's and 24 duces and all other under cards were under 6. for a total of 38 hands.
So last night I tried again with 100k starting and my losing % after 50 games was 96% FIXED, Rigged or whatever you want to call it.Please do not play with real monies you will definetly lose in the end. programs can be tamper with.
Wow....sounds like you have done your homework...I totally agree with you though...
i am glad someone finally feels the same way as me. I have been a member on pokerstars for about a year, but just to play relaxing or easy going poker with play money. note to everyone dont play real money on this site, its a joke. The odds seem to never stack up like you will be a 95-5 favorite after the flop to win and somehow your oponent will catch running 6s or whatever it may be to knock you out of the tounament. I have never seen a sight with such suckouts and bad beats mostly coming on the river. This is why i have two very unique names that i will refer to this site as either riverstars or jokerstars. They do have very good freerolls on this site, but the deposit bonuses are not good so no one can really gain that extra cash when depositing. I suggest you stick to good old titan poker or poker.com which has a large amount of freerolls
I noticed the same
I noticed the same odds defying cards and especially if a player goes "all-In" the big money hand seems to win most of the time regardless of the cards he/she is holding.
I have to agree that out of all sites, PokerStars is seriously dodgy.
That other day I was watching a high limit NL cash game table and these two players who had around 5k each played a hand and it seemed normal but this one guy kept betting out and on the river he bet out again and the other guy raised all-in and he called with NOTHING. Ok lets look at this very simply, it's ok to try and bluff but if the guy raises all-in who the fuck in the right mind would call with NOTHING and loose about $4000 dollars?? I've seen things like this occasionally.
I also use to watch the limit hold'em $200/$400 tables and I often see people battling it out and end up winning by a high card on showdown.
I mean I use to play on that site and I lost my money really quickly. When I played play money I seem to consistently get really decent hands and not surprisingly enough quads. I remember this one time I had KQ and the flop comes KKK and this other time I had 93 and the flop comes 333. I know it's play money but the cards that you get and what comes up should be equally as random shouldn't it? If you ask me, they seem to do that to encourage people to deposit real money thinking it's gonna be the same, when it isn't.
hi Brandon...I have to agree with everything you said. I have been playing on pokerstars for alittle over a year and a half now. I have played on their website with the playmoney and I find it amazing enough that you can win a million or two million play money chips without a problem at all....However when you go play the real money tables....its not the same at all...I have shelled out over 40 thousand on that stupid website and only to get back 2 thousand...yes thats right....I have spent well over 40 grand to cash out a little over 2 thousand...so bottom line Im down 38 plus....Im not a donkey and Im not a bad loser by anymeans....But I cant tell you how many times I have sat at a table and been beaten to pocket aces...pocket kings....its just mind boggling....One night...I was playing 50-100 on that site.....(real money) I was dealt back to back pocket queens.......the next hand was pocket tens.......the very next hand after that pocket Kings.....then I got bullets right after that.....and to top it off....I got dealt pocket tens twice after that.....so there is 7 hands IN A ROW....decent pocket pairs....and I LOST on everyone of them!!! and it wasnt like I had 10's and high cards come on the flop...everytime and I mean EVERYTIME....the river is what killed me....How can anyone have luck that BAD is beyond me....and these idiots keep calling you right to the river.........I have seen everything and I do mean EVERYTHING on that site....I think its definately rigged....I have spent thousands of hours on that website and I just got rid of it on my computer.....I will never ever play there again...And for all those people that say....POKERSTARS is not rigged.....well they must be the ones that are in on it....I understand its common to lose or better yet go on a losing streak....but my god....this just does not add up.....something very fishy there.....like you said.....when you play the play money hands on their site.....you ALWAYS (well the majority of the time) win with decent hands.....but on the real money games......you get fucked on the river EVERYTIME!!! either that or someone catches a flush or heres a good one....a BIGGER full house on the river when you flopped a full house....I could tell you lots of things that I have seen and watched.....but I dont want to bore you to death. To all the people out there.....POKERSTARS>>>>WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY>>> DONT KID YOURSELF>....Thats what they do....If your a regualar on the site....and you read this....be honest with yourself...are you ahead? or are you down? if your honest.....you will be down...........I dont know anyone that has come ahead...the ones that say they come ahead.....THEY ARE LYING!!!!
Poker Stars is manipulating
I joined Poker Stars in November. I am a reasonably good, conservative player. I played the one table 3$ progressive table and took my initial $50 investment to $280 in 2.5 months.
Then the cards began to change dramatically on all in showdowns for me. In the last four weeks I have dropped straight down from $280 to $180, and nothing has changed but the odds defying outcomes of showdowns where the pre-flop odds were all in my favor. I started keeping track about 2.5 weeks ago on all-ins when I knew that something was going on. The odds defying results are 11 against me and 1 for me as follows (remember these were all in's pre-flop:
kk to 44 (4)
AsKs to k4 (kk4)
a6 to kq (k)
kk to tt (jq98)
ak to a5 (5)
jj to at (a)
(all in after flop) 8j (8j) to 97 (turn river = 56) that one was beyond funny
(all in after flop) qj (q high flop) to ad8 (two diamonds turn & river to save him)
aQ to kq (k)
AJ (tka8) to Q3 (j)
A6 to 85 (8)
A4 to QQ (AA4) (I guess giving me one big improbable was supposed to make me feel better about the other 11, right?
The Poker Starssite is a joke. They must be leveling out good players to ensure that bad players get some victories and hang around their site.
I have compiled some pretty amazing statistics over my play at PS (I use PokerTracker). They are really amazing - out of the last 30 times I was involved in All-in, when the odds were approximately 50/50, I lost every single time. My winrate statistic is fully 20 percent lower on Stars than on other sites. Well, at least they are consistent - when they decide to screw you, they don't give up. I finally withdrew what is left of my money and will never play there again. Pokerstars is most definitely rigged.
I have quite PokerStars for good
I am glad I have found this post. I have been playing on Stars for about a year. Before that, I have been almost exclusively on Party Poker. On Party Poker, I played strictly Omaha. I am a very decent Omaha player and I used to win quite consistently at the PLO8 tournies. I played a lot of 30/60 cash games too. I averaged a cashout of about $2000 per week.
When PP closed down to U.S. players, I tried Stars and FullTilt. I thought that I was just on a really bad streak at Stars. I got rivered so many times, I was pulling my hair out (literally). But it just kept going and going. I kept waiting for things to turn around. They never did. I am a consistent loser on Stars and am down about $25k on this site. On Party Poker, I was ahead about $175k. OK, I know that unlucky bouts can last a pretty long time. I had bad bouts on PP as well (my longest being about a month). So, how do you explain this over the long run. I have seen the most remarkable beats consistently on Stars. I have now quit Stars. I honestly believe the site is rigged. I could be wrong, but I am not willing to invest any more money on it.
I am glad to see others saying the same thing. I thought I was going insane. I sure hope that Party Poker gets reinstated. Anyhow, thanks for reading my post and thanks for contributing and saving my sanity!
There is no such thing as a rigged poker site. If it was rigged then why would the millions of people who play on stars still play if they are getting screwed. You are all victims of bad luck which is going to happen in poker. You could complain and then say Pokerstars is rigged but it happens.
Also some of you listed hands that you have lost due to a BAD BEAT but have not posted any hand histories. How did you play the hand? Could you have gotten away from it? Did you not have a read on the player? What were the percentages? All of these things have to be taken into consideration.
If you are 60% to win the hand it means you will win 3 out of 5 times. The 2 other times you will lose and when it happens you will be shouting. WHAT KIND OF CALL WAS THAT!!! YOU DONKEY!! It was not a donk move you simply fell to the percentages.
Some of you have been saying that poker sites can rig the outcomes of hands. What does the poker site have to gain from rigging it so that you lose your money to another player. If you are playing a $20 sng there is not much point of making you lose. If you were playing against the casino fair enough they would be able to gain something. But you cannot blame the site or casino due to bad luck.
Finally to everyone who is complaining about losing money to bad luck or thick bonehead plays on your behalf why are you still playing? Who is forcing you to play poker? If you are complaining then go away and take your attitude with you. Trust me the only people who will miss you will be the players who are used to taking your money.
I do not mean to be rude but what you all are complaing about is poker. It happens to the pro's but they just get on with the game. So suck it up or quite playing. Simple as that.
